Note re our map: The Dunmow Western Bypass – the road marked 'possibly opening 2009' – didn't open in 2009!
Because of a planning fudge between Uttlesford District Council and Wickford Development Company some 10 years ago the last quarter mile or so have not been built.
Essex County Council considered completing it and then recovering the cost (they are the Highway Authority) but that hasn't happened either.
So no one knows just when it will be finished. |
