We have held a weekly life drawing session in the gallery since 1995. This year we decided to close the gallery on Thursday afternoons and run a second life drawing session instead but there was little lasting demand, so it ceased.
The evening sessions continue as usual. They are 'drop in' sessions – bring your own materials and just come along and draw – 7.30 to 9.30 every Thursday. We have about a dozen models, mostly female, but a few men as well, so you get a good variety of shapes, sizes and ages to draw!
The cost is £6 for a single session, but most people prefer to pay £25 for 6, which do not have to be consecutive, and tuition, and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Students pay £5, or £20 for 6 sessions.
