Lindsell Art Gallery has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Admission is free and all prices are clearly shown, ranging from a only few pounds for a small painting or craft item to three, possibly four, figures for larger items and we accept all the popular credit and debit cards – and we'll offer you coffee too!

ARTS AND CRAFTS
Since 1992, Lindsell Art Gallery has displayed and sold landscape, wildlife, flower, still life and figurative paintings, prints and photographs together with unique jewellery and crafts, produced by talented local and regional artists.

PICTURE FRAMING
Over many years we have also gained a reputation for excellent Picture Framing which is carried out by our framer Hayley in our in-house workshop.

LIFE DRAWING
To encourage better draughtsmanship John holds well attended weekly Life Drawing sessions in the gallery.

COMMISSIONED WORK
We can commission a painting for you – perhaps your pet, a relative, your house, a favourite view . . . Call in if you can, or look under 'Paintings, prints and photographs' and select an artist. Click here to email us with as much detail as you can and we will do the rest.

GIFT VOUCHERS
A painting makes a beautiful gift, but if you can't decide Lindsell Art Gallery Gift Vouchers are available in the gallery, or by email.

. . . and there is NO VAT on anything!

Our location: we are in the small village of Lindsell in the peace and quiet of the beautiful north-west Essex countryside, near Thaxted, Dunmow and Stansted Airport.

 

GALLERY and FRAMING WORKSHOP OPENING TIMES
9.30 to 5.30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays,
9.30 to 1 on Thursdays,
9.30 to 5.30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday Mondays
2 to 5 on Sundays from May to August.

LIFE DRAWING every Thursday evening from 7.30 to 9.30

• Wheelchair users always welcomed, we have a gently ramped access into the gallery
LATE NEWS
 
We are now open on summer Sunday afternoons until the end of August and don't forget, we also open on Bank Holiday Mondays 
 
THE SPRING SHOW still has a couple of weeks to run, there is much new work, several new artists and photographers too and craft work including a couple of really good new jewellers. So now the weather is a bit more springlike be sure to visit us!

Coming up: JAMES MERRIOTT's landscapes start on Saturday 1st June. Jim is a favourite at Lindsell, you may have seen his work in Essex Life and Hertfordshire Life magazines. As well as local paintings there are views from the rest of Britain, France and Portugal

SADLY, KATE, WHO APPEARS ON OUR VIDEO, IS NO LONGER WITH US. AFTER BEING ILL FOR A WHILE SHE DIED IN HOSPITAL LAST SEPTEMBER.
